Rules & Regulations

All students will be governed by the rules and regulations prescribed by INSTITUTE OF IDUSTRIAL AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY.

  1. Apart from the official leave periods, no leave will be granted on the Institute days except on genuine grounds that will be ascertained by the Director.

  2. Prior permission of the Director is mandatory before proceeding on leave.

  3. Any unauthorized leave will be liable for disciplinary action.

Attendance:

  1. Every student must fulfill the criteria of minimum attendance of 75 percent in each month to be able to appear for the examinations. Any short fall in attendance will result in detention of the student, and the student will be solely responsible for this.

  2. No student is allowed to take up a full time job during the course period. A written application should be submitted to the Director before taking up a part-time job that does not interfere with the regular class hours.

  3. Attendance is regularly monitored and weekly student-wise and subject-wise attendance details are placed on the notice board.

Dress Code:

  1. Every student is expected to be decently dressed at all times within the Institute premises

  2. It is mandatory for all students to wear their identity badges at all times on the Institute premises.

Home Assignments, Tutorials, Class Projects & Sessionals:

  1. Every student is required to complete and submit Home Assignments and Projects within the stipulated dates; attend all Tutorial classes, and appear for the session examinations compulsorily for the purpose of the Internal Assessment marks.

10.Criteria for Internal Assessment Marks (70 marks) as per new syllabus.

The allocation of marks for the Internal Assessment and Trimester End Examination will be as shown below:

Two periodical theory class tests in the given trimester

Marks for internal assessment awarded on the basis of tests, assignment etc as determined by the teacher in the respective subject and moderated by the Director. 30% of the obtained marks will be added to the final marks.

 

 

 

Discipline:

  1. Students should be seated in the classroom before the entry of the concerned faculty in each class.

  2. Students are prohibited from indulging in any illegal, immoral or indecent activity.

  3. Ragging of any sort is strictly prohibited. Those found indulging in ragging will be prosecuted under the relevant sections of criminal law.

  4. Cigarettes, drugs and alcohol are banned on the campus.

  5. Mobile phones are to be switched off in the classrooms, laboratory and circulation areas of the building.

  6. Strict action will be taken against students found damaging or defacing any college property. The costs of such damages will be recovered from those found guilty.

  7. Strict action will be taken against students found misbehaving with faculty or staff.

  8. Students will be responsible for any injury or harm caused to them through irresponsible or inappropriate behavior or violation of safety norms with regard to use of electrical or other implements.

  9. At all times, students will obey instructions issued by the competent authorities.
